    Embrace The Change

    Published: Apr 11, 2020 | Modified: May 18, 2020 by Chef Cindy | Leave a Comment

As we face this worldwide coronavirus pandemic, we can’t help but experience fear and anxiety of what’s to come. Our lives as we once knew, have been turned upside down. Our social plans, travels, businesses, celebrations, daily activities, family life and even our “things to do list” have been postponed, cancelled or majorly readjusted. Most of us thrive with physical contact but now are thrust into a world where we have limits to it. “Social distancing” was a term so foreign to us, but is now the new “norm”. We question what our lives will look like tomorrow, next week, one month, and even 6 months from now. Fear holds us back from planning ahead for almost anything. Can we learn and grow from this “uncertainty”? I say yes! The answer is to embrace the change!

Change is constant because the passage of time is constant!

Uncertainty is constantly ahead of us and has always been that way. If we learn to embrace that we are where we should be, it helps to lessen the anxiousness most of us are feeling.

If we look at this as a “gift of time” to do things we haven’t had time to do, suddenly it’s not so stressful. Maybe it’s time to actively be more present and conscious in our everyday activities. Or, it can be a moment to re-evaluate how we operate our business – maybe it can function remotely or with a little less travel or in person meetings. Now may be a good time to incorporate healthier routines by learning how to cook healthy meals and exercise regularly. There’s no better time to become more environmentally conscious and adapt new ways to make a positive difference for the future of world.

“Necessity is the mother of invention” and because people are smart and resourceful, we solve for uncertainty every day.

How will you look back on this time in your life? What will you say you accomplished or learned during this historic time? Can you overcome the hardships with something positive?

So during the days ahead, learn something new, take on a hobby, re-kindle and old friendship, reach out to a neighbor, the possibilities are endless!

Yes, life may never be the same again – it may even be better!
