Description
Chimichurri Sauce Recipe is a traditional Argentine Recipe that is used to top meat, fish and vegetables. It is especially delicious on grilled foods, especially vegetables!
Ingredients

1 cup firmly packed flat leaf parsley, stems removed
3 – 4 garlic cloves, peeled
1 large shallot
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2/3 cup olive oil
1/2 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons fresh oregano, (or 2 teaspoons dried oregano)
1/4 – 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Place parsley, garlic and shallot in a food processor and pulse until coarsely ground.
- Scrape into a bowl and stir in the rest of the ingredients. Serve at room temperature.
Notes
- Use a blend of parsley and cilantro for a different flavor.
- Grill the meat, fish or vegetable with the sauce (low to medium heat) or use as a topping after cooking.
